Job summary

Safran Electrical & Power is recruiting a Test and Development Support Technician for our Pitstone site. You will support, install and maintain Engineering Test Rigs used to test our electrical motors and generators for aerospace applications.

You will assist in setting up tests, acquiring new equipment and helping to manufacture parts to keep rigs running for various customer requirements. Training will be provided and you will work with an experienced technician to develop your skills.

Qualifications

• Engineering qualifications essential for the role, including wiring regs, mechanical apprenticeships, NVQs or electrical/electronic qualifications.
• Ability to learn machining centres and basic workshop machines.
• Safe working practices and adherence to HSE requirements.

Responsibilities

• Provide support, installation and maintenance to Engineering Test Rigs.
• Set up tests and new equipment for validation of electrical motors/generators.
• Help produce parts/equipment to meet customer requirements and keep rigs running.
• Work with an experienced technician to develop skills and knowledge.
