Job summary

Safran Helicopter Engines UK is seeking a Supplier Performance Manager to drive supplier performance and continuous improvement within its UK supply chain. You will lead the Supplier Support Team, partnering with Purchasing, Quality, and Engineering to ensure quality, delivery and industrialisation targets are met.

You will assess supplier capability and risk, implement robust improvement plans, and work across UK and France with cross-functional teams to optimise performance and customer

Qualifications

  • Proven experience in Supplier Performance, Supplier Development, Supplier Quality, Procurement, or Supply Chain Management.
  • Leadership experience managing technical or operational teams in a regulated industry.
  • Experience in aerospace, aviation, automotive, or similar manufacturing sectors.
  • Strong supplier relationship and performance management experience.
  • Ability to lead improvement and recovery plans with measurable results.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing and industrialisation processes.
  • Ability to assess supplier capability, capacity and risk with data-driven decisions.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with KPI focus.
  • Experience managing KPIs such as OTD, PPM and overall supply performance.
  • Ability to read engineering drawings and technical specifications accurately.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Strong reporting and presentation capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Manage supplier performance across quality, delivery and industrialisation metrics.
  • Monitor On-Time Delivery (OTD) and quality performance with regular reviews.
  • Lead supplier visits to assess capability, capacity, risk and improvements.
  • Develop and implement supplier recovery and improvement plans.
  • Identify and mitigate supply chain risks with structured actions.
  • Support supplier onboarding, qualification and selection activities.
  • Lead supplier industrial maturity and continuous improvement programmes.
  • Prepare and present supplier performance reviews to management.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Quality, Engineering and Operations.
  • Align activities with Safran corporate processes and standards.
