Availability Window

The store operates 5 days a week. Availability windows are:

  • Sunday to Wednesday: 05:30 – 14:30
  • Thursday to Friday: 14:00 – 23:00
Pay and Working Hours

Shift leader starting rate £14.76 per hour, £15.97 for stores inside the M25. New colleagues get a minimum of 16 guaranteed hours weekly; flexible hours of 12 are available.

Responsibilities
  • Run store duty shifts in a fast‑paced retail environment.
  • Coordinate the team to deliver a clean, well‑stocked store that exceeds customer expectations.
  • Co‑ordinate the store team to deliver an easy, fuss‑free shopping experience for customers.
  • Support colleagues, ensuring they deliver daily priorities and take regular breaks.
  • Open and close the store, completing duty cover and ensuring all decisions made are right for everyone's safety.
  • Be the go‑to person for colleagues in the absence of a manager for day‑to‑day queries.
  • Keep the store always clean, tidy and well‑presented.
  • Support managers to coordinate seasonal, community and charity events.
  • Contribute to a great team atmosphere that is inclusive of everyone.
  • Provide excellent customer service by listening to customers and putting them first.
  • Keep the team well‑informed and up to speed on any communications, changes or updates.
  • Stay knowledgeable about store performance and look for ways to improve and simplify operations.
  • Coordinate store improvements and remove obstacles that impede service.
  • Follow health and safety routines and procedures and ensure colleagues do the same.
  • Recognise and celebrate colleagues delivering great service.
Requirements

Minimum age 18. Experience in a team‑led retail environment is an advantage.
