Job summary

Scolmore is seeking an Area Sales Manager to drive growth across a defined UK territory, covering electrical wholesalers and distributors. You will build strong customer relationships, create territory plans, and identify new business opportunities to expand market share.

The role requires a full UK driving licence, strong IT and negotiation skills, and willingness to travel extensively. Based in the Tamworth area, with support from the Ovia sales team.

Qualifications

• Full UK driving licence required.
• Strong IT skills including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
• Excellent communication, relationship-building, and negotiation skills.
• Ability to identify and develop opportunities within both existing and prospective accounts.
• Strong organisational and time-management abilities.
• Willingness to travel extensively throughout the territory and stay away from home when required.

Responsibilities

• Drive sales growth across the designated territory through account management and new business development.
• Promote and sell the full range of Ovia products to electrical wholesalers and distribution partners.
• Develop strong relationships with key customers to increase product penetration and market share.
• Create and implement territory plans to maximise opportunities and achieve targets.
• Identify, qualify and convert new opportunities while strengthening existing partnerships.
• Maintain customer records, sales activity, and pipeline updates using company systems.
