Job summary

Rise Resourcing is seeking a proactive Retail Development Manager to lead territory growth in the UK convenience and wholesale sector. You will engage independent retailers, guide their growth, and drive supplier initiatives at the store level.

You will work directly with store owners, optimizing range, promotions and standards, while maintaining a robust territory plan and travel regularly to cover your region.

Qualifications

• Strong, practical knowledge of the convenience, symbol group, or wholesale sector.
• Prior business development experience, ideally with a symbol operator.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Hands-on, consultative approach to store layout, merchandising, and retail execution.

Responsibilities

• Identify, recruit and nurture independent retailers in your territory.
• Consult with store owners to optimize range, standards and promotional compliance.
• Guide retailers through a structured development journey toward symbol store status.
• Sell in supplier launches, core range strategies and promotions at store level.
• Own and manage your territory with structured pipeline records and prioritised opportunities.
