Job summary

Rise Resourcing seeks a proactive Retail Development Manager to lead territory growth in the convenience and wholesale retail sector, driving business development with independent retailers.

You will consult with store owners on range management, store standards and core promotional compliance, while activating supplier initiatives and managing your region. Regular travel to develop opportunities is required.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of the convenience, symbol group, or wholesale sector.
• Experience in business development, ideally with a symbol operator.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.
• Hands-on, consultative approach to store layout, merchandising and retail execution.
• Excellent territory planning ability and willingness to travel.

Responsibilities

• Identify, prospect and recruit new independent retailers across your territory.
• Consult with store owners to improve range management, store standards and promotions.
• Guide retailers through a development journey from new customers to symbol store status.
• Sell in supplier product launches, core range strategies and promotions at store level.
• Maintain territory records and prioritize high-potential opportunities.
