Lyreco Group in the UK is seeking a Technical Customer Service Engineer to join our Engineering team. This field-based role covers Hertfordshire and surrounding areas, offering a hands-on environment where you diagnose faults, install and service dispensing equipment, and keep customers operating safely.

You'll work across customer sites, maintain equipment, complete service records, and build strong relationships with clients.

Qualifications

• Practical engineering experience with diagnosing and resolving faults.
• Competence with electrical systems and reading diagrams, plus basic plumbing skills.
• Hands-on problem solving with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently in a field-based role while staying part of a team.
• Strong communication and relationship-building with customers.
• Good organisation and IT skills; maintain accurate service records.
• Hold a full UK driving licence.
• 2–5 years' engineering experience with dispensing or dosing equipment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on technical support across customer sites, installing, servicing and maintaining equipment.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to keep systems running.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Test equipment and perform quality/safety checks to required specs.
• Identify replacement parts and ensure correct components are ordered.
• Complete electronic job sheets and communicate with Technical Customer Services.
• Manage van stock, equipment and workload while delivering a professional service.

Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer

Location: Field-based, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas.
Hours: Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week
Contract: Permanent / Full Time

At Lyreco, we're about empowering people to create great - and we're looking for a Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer to join our Engineering team.

This is an opportunity to take ownership of your work in a hands‑on field engineering role where no two days are the same. You'll work directly with customers, using your technical expertise to solve problems, maintain essential equipment and deliver a service you can be proud of.

What you'll be doing

You'll provide hands‑on technical support across customer sites, installing, servicing and maintaining specialist dispensing and dosing equipment to keep it safe, reliable and performing as it should.

• Install and commission dispensing and dosing equipment, including dishwasher, laundry, chemical and enzyme dosing systems.
• Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to get equipment back up and running.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance across customer sites.
• Test equipment and complete quality and safety checks to ensure it meets required specifications and regulations.
• Identify required replacement parts and ensure the correct components are ordered and available.
• Complete accurate electronic job sheets and maintain regular communication with the Technical Customer Services team.
• Take ownership of your van stock, equipment and workload while delivering a professional service to our customers.

What we're looking for

You don't need to tick every box, but we'd love to hear from you if you have:

• Practical engineering experience with the confidence to diagnose and resolve technical faults.
• Competence working with electrical systems, including reading electrical diagrams, alongside basic plumbing skills.
• A practical, hands‑on approach with strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• The confidence to work independently in a field‑based role while remaining part of a wider team.
• Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers.
• Good organisation and IT skills, with the ability to manage your workload and complete accurate service records.
• A full UK driving licence.
• Ideally, 2-5 years' engineering experience working with dispensing or dosing equipment, or similar systems.
