Job summary

Lyreco is seeking a Technical Customer Service Engineer for field-based work across Surrey and surrounding areas. You will install, service and maintain dispensing and dosing equipment, diagnosing faults and performing repairs to keep systems safe and reliable.

The role requires hands-on engineering skills, the ability to read electrical diagrams, and solid IT and communication abilities. A UK driving licence is essential for travel between sites.

Qualifications

  • Practical engineering experience with fault diagnosis.
  • Competence with electrical systems, including reading electrical diagrams, and basic plumbing.
  • Hands-on approach with strong problem-solving and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based role while being part of a team.
  • Good communication and relationship-building with customers.
  • Good organisation and IT skills, with accurate service records.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • Ideally 2–5 years' engineering experience with dispensing or dosing equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Install and commission dispensing and dosing equipment at customer sites.
  • Diagnose faults and complete repairs to get equipment running.
  • Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance at sites.
  • Test equipment and perform safety checks to meet specs/regulations.
  • Identify replacement parts and ensure correct components are ordered.
  • Complete accurate electronic job sheets and communicate with Tech Customer Services.
  • Manage van stock and workload while delivering professional service.
