Job summary

Lyreco is seeking a Technical Customer Service Engineer for field-based work in Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. You will install, service and maintain dispensing and dosing equipment, diagnose faults, and keep careful service records.

A full UK driving licence and the ability to work independently are essential. You’ll join a team that values practical problem-solving, reliable field support, and strong customer relationships, with a company vehicle and benefits package.

Qualifications

• Hands-on engineering experience with fault diagnosis.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission dispensing and dosing equipment at customer sites.
• Diagnose faults and complete repairs to restore operation.
• Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance.
• Test equipment and perform safety checks per specifications.
• Maintain van stock and order replacement parts.
• Complete accurate electronic job sheets and communicate with the team.

**Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer****Location:** Field-based, Hertfordshire and surrounding areas. **Hours:** Monday to Friday, 36.25 hours per week **Contract:** Permanent / Full Time**Ready to create something great?**At Lyreco, we're about empowering people to create great – and we're looking for a Technical Customer Service (TCS) Engineer to join our Engineering team.This is an opportunity to take ownership of your work in a hands-on field engineering role where no two days are the same. You'll work directly with customers, using your technical expertise to solve problems, maintain essential equipment and deliver a service you can be proud of.What you'll be doingYou'll provide hands-on technical support across customer sites, installing, servicing and maintaining specialist dispensing and dosing equipment to keep it safe, reliable and performing as it should.* Install and commission dispensing and dosing equipment, including dishwasher, laundry, chemical and enzyme dosing systems.* Diagnose faults, troubleshoot issues and complete repairs to get equipment back up and running.* Carry out planned servicing and preventative maintenance across customer sites.* Test equipment and complete quality and safety checks to ensure it meets required specifications and regulations.* Identify required replacement parts and ensure the correct components are ordered and available.* Complete accurate electronic job sheets and maintain regular communication with the Technical Customer Services team.* Take ownership of your van stock, equipment and workload while delivering a professional service to our customers.What we're looking forYou don't need to tick every box, but we'd love to hear from you if you have:* Practical engineering experience with the confidence to diagnose and resolve technical faults.* Competence working with electrical systems, including reading electrical diagrams, alongside basic plumbing skills.* A practical, hands-on approach with strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.* The confidence to work independently in a field-based role while remaining part of a wider team.* Good communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with customers.* Good organisation and IT skills, with the ability to manage your workload and complete accurate service records.* A full UK driving licence.* Ideally, 2–5 years' engineering experience working with dispensing or dosing equipment, or similar systems.What you'll get* Company vehicle.* 31 days' holiday, inclusive of bank holidays.* Pension & Life Assurance Scheme.* Cycle to Work Scheme, retail vouchers and eye care vouchers.* 2 fully paid community volunteering days each year.* Grow Our Own Talent Programme, supporting your internal career development.* Employee Referral Scheme.* Long Service Awards to celebrate your career milestones.* **All Work to Company Values:** Passion, Respect, Agility, Excellence.At Lyreco, **Empowering people to create great** is more than our EVP.
