Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Norwood Primary School in Peterborough to deliver nutritionally balanced meals during term-time. The role covers 30 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends and 38 weeks per year for a flexible work pattern.

You will oversee kitchen operations, lead the catering team, ensure compliance with Health & Safety and food safety standards, and manage stock and budgets while upholding Caterlink’s service quality at the client site.

Qualifications

• Experience in school catering or large-scale food service is preferable.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and HACCP principles.
• Ability to manage term-time operations and supervise a team.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation compliance at the location.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for quality food and service with clients and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location, including supervising teams, managing inventories and budgets.
• Act as main client contact at the school, implementing improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager to achieve them.
• Provide training and development for staff to excel in their roles.
