Job summary

Caterlink seeks a Chef Manager at Oakington Primary School, Oakington, to ensure nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. This term-time only role offers 25 hours weekly, Monday to Friday, with 38 weeks per year and no weekends, providing flexibility.

The successful candidate will prepare and present food to Caterlink’s standards, oversee Health and Safety, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact at the school.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to the standards required by Caterlink and the client
• To ensure location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures
• To enhance the company’s reputation for excellent food and service with clients and customers
• To manage day-to-day running, supervise teams, inventories and budgets; implement action plans
• To be main point of contact for client in school and implement regular improvements
• Communicate with line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets
• Support and train teams and ensure training is completed and performance is managed
