Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at St Paul Catholic Primary School, Cheshunt, Hertfordshire, to provide nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. This role is term-time only, Monday to Friday, with no weekends, offering flexibility and community impact.

You will lead food preparation to Caterlink standards, supervise site teams, manage inventories and budgets, and liaise with the school client to drive continuous improvements. The role requires strong leadership and commitment to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Experience managing a school catering location and supervising teams.
• Ability to monitor budgets and inventories.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety and Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink standards.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislation.
• Maintain reputation for excellent food and service.
• Manage day-to-day running, inventories, budgets, and action plans.
• Be main client contact in the school; implement improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager.
• Train and develop teams; ensure training completion and performance management.
