Job summary

Caterlink is recruiting a Chef Manager for Oakington Primary School. This term-time only role offers 25 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with no weekends. The position focuses on delivering nutritionally balanced meals and ensuring site standards and client satisfaction.

You will manage day-to-day operations, supervise staff, and monitor KPIs and budgets while upholding Caterlink's food safety and quality commitments in line with statutory requirements.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure the location meets Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental requirements.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for excellent food and service with client and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running, supervise teams, manage inventories, monitor budgets, implement actions.
• Be main contact for the school client, recommending and implementing improvements.
• Regularly update line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Lead training and development to ensure staff perform at their best.
