Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council is hiring an Assistant Cook for St Mary's R.C Primary School. The role is 12.5 hours per week, term time only, with hours 10am–2pm, Monday to Friday. The salary is £7,889 per annum, and you will support meal prep and kitchen administration.

You will cover for the Cook in their absence and at other schools within the County Borough. An Intermediate Food Hygiene Certificate is required, with training provided if needed, and Welsh greeting is a listed requirement.

Qualifications

• Greet customers through the medium of Welsh is a requirement.
• Knowledge of kitchen administration procedures would be an advantage.
• Assist in training and organisation of staff.
