Job summary

Bridgend County Borough Council’s Catering Services is hiring a General Kitchen Assistant to support the preparation, presentation and service of school meals across 56 schools. The role requires DBS clearance and a Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate, with training provided to obtain it if needed.

Hours are term-time only, Monday to Friday, from 10:00 to 14:30, and cover across the County Borough is required. This post promotes a safe, clean dining environment for pupils and staff.

Qualifications

• Level Two Food Hygiene Certificate is required.

• Lay out dining tables and chairs and operate a touch screen terminal in some schools (training provided).
• Cover at schools across the County Borough as required and ensure a safe, clean environment for pupils and staff.
