Job summary

Thomas Franks is seeking a Kitchen Assistant at our Plymouth location to work in a fast-paced kitchen, preparing fresh meals from scratch and supporting Chefs with prep. You will join a team focused on high standards, using seasonal ingredients, and delivering excellent service for our pupils and staff.

The role offers everyday food preparation experience, on-site meals, and opportunities for training and development within a leading independent catering business.

Qualifications

You will have a genuine interest in food and excellent customer service.
An all-round team player with a passion for great food.
Organised Kitchen Assistant with attention to detail and good English skills.
Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

To work well in a team, providing food and a great service.
To produce food for service using fresh ingredients, cooking from scratch and following the company’s brand standards.
Ensuring company food standards are adhered to and wastage controlled.
Ensuring all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed.
Experience of pot wash duties would be an advantage.
Great team player and able to assist Chefs with food prep.
