Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a term-time Plymouth position, Mon-Fri, 25 hours per week at 13.06 per hour. The role runs during term time with 43 weeks per year and involves a 0930-1430 shift, no late nights or weekends.

You will work in a fast-paced kitchen, use fresh seasonal ingredients, and support chefs with prep and service, ensuring high standards and allergen control.

Qualifications

• Experience in a fast-paced kitchen or catering environment preferred.
• Excellent customer service and teamwork.
• Attention to detail and adherence to food safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Work in a team to provide food and great service.
• Prepare food for service using fresh ingredients and cooking from scratch.
• Follow brand standards and manage wastage in line with policies.
• Maintain Food Hygiene and Health & Safety procedures, including allergen controls.
• Assist chefs with food preparation as needed.
• Provide excellent customer service and be a strong team player.
