Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd in Plymouth is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for a part-time, permanent role during term time. The position runs Monday to Friday, 9:30 AM to 2:30 PM (25 hours weekly) with no late nights or weekends.

You will join a team in a busy kitchen, preparing fresh meals from seasonal ingredients and supporting chefs with food prep, while upholding high standards of hygiene and customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience in fast-paced kitchen environments.
• Ability to work Monday to Friday, term-time schedule.
• Willingness to assist with food prep and cleaning tasks.

Responsibilities

• Work as part of the kitchen team to provide food and service.
• Prepare food from fresh ingredients and follow brand standards.
• Manage wastage and ensure food hygiene and safety policies are followed.
• Assist chefs with some food preparation tasks.
• Possess good customer service skills and be a strong team player.
