Responsibilities

• Support schools once in the morning and once in the afternoon, ensuring the safety of pedestrians crossing the road to and from school.
• Have regard for the needs of people with disabilities using the crossing.
• Maintain regular contact with the schools attended by children using the crossing site.
• Assess risks at the crossing site and report problems to the supervisor.
• Ensure uniform and equipment are kept in good condition and replacements requested when needed.
• Give clear signals to drivers to stop and ensure road is clear before pedestrians cross.
