Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council Careers is seeking a Cleaning Supervisor and Cleaner for 15 hours per week in Carluke. The role covers cleaning duties, setting up rooms for lets, and on-site safety. You will supervise a small team, monitor standards and assist with recruitment, with hours 3pm–6pm, Monday to Friday.

The position offers hourly rates of £13.80 (Cleaner) and £14.12–£14.27 (Supervisor), with a strong focus on health & safety and COSHH compliance.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning duties and facilities support.
• Ability to supervise a small team of facility staff and assist with recruitment and training.
• Flexible approach to shifts and adherence to safety standards (COSHH).

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning tasks on floors, furniture, fixtures and sanitary areas to standard.
• Supervise a team of Facility Assistants, including training, attendance monitoring and briefings.
• Ensure building security, act as key-holder when required, and raise health & safety issues to management.
