Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council, for St Andrews and St Brides High School in East Kilbride, is recruiting a part-time Cleaning Supervisor. You will lead a small team of Facility Assistants, oversee cleaning standards, training and health and safety compliance on site.

The role splits 7.5 hours cleaning and 7.5 hours supervision weekly, with shifts Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3.30pm–6.30pm and Tuesday/Thursday 4pm–7pm.

Qualifications

• Experience supervising a cleaning team and coordinating facilities.
• Ability to monitor cleaning standards and report issues per COSHH.
• Willingness to recruit and train staff and manage attendance.

Responsibilities

• carry out cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls
• monitor standards of cleaning in line with specification/COSHH regulations, reporting any difficult issues to management
• set up rooms for lets and be the responsible person on site for reporting health and safety issues
• supervise a team of Facility Assistants (Cleaning), including assisting with training; recruitment & selection; maximising attendance; team brief
• ensure the security of the building and act as a key-holder as required
