Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is seeking two cleaners for Duncanrig High School in East Kilbride. Roles are 15 hours per week each, term-time, with shifts from early mornings Monday to Friday. Hourly rate is £13.80.

Training and supervision will be provided; you will report to the Cleaning Supervisor and work to COSHH and school standards. Responsibilities include floor and area cleaning, waste removal, and occasional risk checks.

Qualifications

• Experience in cleaning in a school or similar environment is desirable.
• Ability to follow pre-determined schedules and work with supervision.
• Reliable and punctual with a focus on safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Carry out cleaning of floors, furniture, fixtures and sanitary areas.
• Report to Cleaning Supervisor and follow shift schedules.
• Use equipment such as buffing machines to maintain floors.
• Remove refuse and ensure proper waste disposal.
• Ensure building security as a key-holder as required.
