Job summary

South Lanarkshire Council is recruiting two permanent, part-time cleaners for St Andrew's and St Bride's High School in East Kilbride. Each post is 15 hours per week, term time only, with Post 1 from Monday to Friday 6am–9am, and Post 2 on Monday, Wednesday and Friday 3.30pm–6.30pm and Tuesday and Thursday 4pm–7pm.

The role pays £13.80 per hour. Duties include cleaning floors, furniture, sanitary areas and removing waste, reporting to the Cleaning Supervisor, and ensuring building security as

Responsibilities

• Carrying out the cleaning function on floors, furniture, fixtures, fittings, sanitary areas, walls, etc.
• Report to the Cleaning Supervisor as required.
• Undertake tasks such as using a buffing machine in line with the schedule.
• Ensure building security and act as a key-holder if required.
• Monitor cleaning standards and report issues to management.
• Remove refuse and ensure proper waste disposal.
