Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is a market-leading contract caterer specialising in school food. We are seeking a Catering Assistant to support the kitchen with basic food preparation and deliver excellent service during the lunch rush at Barton-le-Clay, Bedford.

You will work 15 hours a week, term-time only, Monday to Friday. Training is provided for tills, service, and safety. DBS checks are noted as part of safeguarding commitments during recruitment.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is preferred but training will be provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Front-line service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining standards: Keeping the kitchen safe, clean and compliant with Health and Safety.
