Job summary

Aspens Services in Lutterworth is seeking a Catering Assistant to support our school dining teams with basic food preparation and delivering excellent service during the lunchtime rush.

You will work Monday to Friday during school term time, 20 hours per week, 38 weeks per year, with no late nights or weekends. Full training is provided, including health and safety, and DBS disclosure may be required.

Qualifications

• Team player who thrives in a busy kitchen.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 is advantageous but training provided.

Responsibilities

• Customer Interaction: Working on the tills during service (full training provided).
• Front-Line Service: Providing friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Essential Support: Assisting the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintaining Standards: Ensuring a safe, clean kitchen environment and Health & Safety compliance.
