Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd. is seeking a Catering Assistant in Burton on Trent to support our school kitchens. You’ll help with basic food prep and take turns on tills during service, delivering friendly service to students and staff.

The role offers term-time hours, 16 hours per week across 39 weeks per year, and a training-forward environment with DBS disclosure in line with safeguarding policies. Prior catering experience is helpful, health & safety basics are part of the package.

Qualifications

• You’re a team player who thrives in a busy school catering environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service is preferred.
• Knowledge of health and safety practices is beneficial, training provided if needed.

Responsibilities

• Work on the tills during service with full training provided.
• Provide friendly, polite service to students and staff.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Keep the kitchen safe and clean to meet health and safety standards.
