Job summary

Aspens Services Ltd is seeking a Catering Assistant to support school kitchens during the lunchtime rush. You’ll handle till service, assist with basic food preparation, and deliver friendly, efficient service to students and staff. The role is term-time, 15 hours a week across 38 weeks, with a fixed hourly rate of £12.71.

Qualifications

• Team player with ability to work in a busy school environment.
• Experience in catering or fast-paced service roles preferred.
• Basic knowledge of health and safety practices required; training provided.
• Food Hygiene Level 2 qualification is desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

• Operate tills during service and interact with customers.
• Provide friendly, front-line service to students and staff.
• Assist the team with basic food preparation.
• Maintain a safe, clean kitchen environment and uphold Health & Safety standards.
