Job summary

Uxbridge College is seeking an Outreach Learning Support Assistant to support learners with disabilities on work experience placements and provide in-class learning support. The role involves coordinating with employers, planning learner journeys, and monitoring timekeeping across placements.

The successful candidate will collaborate with the Learning Support team and contribute to a positive placement experience for students, within term-time schedules and London weighting considerations.

Qualifications

• Good communication skills are required.
• Experience with young people with learning difficulties/disabilities is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Motivate and support young people in placements and learning settings.

Responsibilities

• Support learners with disabilities on work experience placements and liaise with employers.
• Help learners plan their journey and manage timekeeping.
• Provide class-based learning support when not on placement.
• Act as a link between placement employers and Learning Support team; communicate feedback and observations.
