Job summary

Loughborough College Group, based at Brooksby and Stephenson, seeks Learning Support Assistants to join the Learning Support team. You will provide high-quality support to students with learning difficulties and disabilities across 36 weeks per year, Monday–Friday 08:30–16:30, across multiple courses from Entry to Level 3/A Level.

You will assist with notetaking, personal care and mobility support, and deliver in-class and online support.

Qualifications

• Experience of working with young people.
• Sound knowledge of safeguarding procedures.
• Must possess at least a Level 2 qualification, GCSE grade 4 or above (or equivalent) in Maths and English.

Responsibilities

• Support students in a sensitive, professional, discrete and confidential manner.
• Encourage personal and academic independence and self-help skills.
• Contribute to development of individual learning programmes with Support Coordinators and course tutors.
• Ensure students receive appropriate level of support and report issues to Support Co-ordinators.
