Job summary

Brook Street is assisting in recruiting for a Learning & Care Support Assistant to support students with PMLD in Hayes and Uxbridge. The role is 36 hours per week, term-time only (39 weeks per year) with an actual salary of £24,572 and working hours 8:45am - 4:30pm.

The post involves one-to-one and small group support, aiding learners to access education, personal care and daily activities, and collaborating with teaching staff to ensure a safe, supportive environment for students in specialist

Qualifications

Experience working with or supporting young people.
Good standard of education including Maths and English.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Willingness to undertake personal care duties.
Flexibility and teamwork to support students across sites Hayes/Uxbridge.

Responsibilities

Provide one-to-one and small group support to learners with PMLD and complex needs.
Assist students to access learning activities and participate in classroom activities.
Support learning and personal care needs and record progress.
Administer medication per care plans and safeguarding requirements.
Work with tutors, therapists and families to support students across activities.
