Job summary

Willing Care Recruitment Limited in Ashton-under-Lyne is seeking a Nursery Manager to lead a Good-rated Ofsted nursery, balancing three days on the floor with children and two days in management. You will guide a small team and uphold high standards of care and education.

The role offers a £27,000 salary with flexibility depending on experience, a pension scheme and on-site parking, and term-time working with opportunities to access Level 4–6 qualifications through training.

Qualifications

• Experience as Nursery Manager, Deputy Manager or strong Room Leader.
• Strong working knowledge of EYFS and early years practice.
• Confident leadership and ability to guide a small team.

Responsibilities

• Lead the day-to-day running of the nursery and maintain high standards of care and education
• Spend three days each week working directly with children and supporting the team in practice
• Use office-based time to manage planning, administration, staffing and other nursery responsibilities
• Support the team to deliver effective EYFS practice and promote positive outcomes for children
• Maintain effective safeguarding, health and safety and compliance procedures
• Build positive relationships with parents, colleagues and external professionals
• Identify training and development needs and support continued improvement across the setting
