Job summary

Under teachers' guidance, you will assist in small groups and individual sessions, adapt resources, monitor progress and support pupils with SEND, safeguarding, and personal development.

Qualifications

• GCSE Maths and English at grade C/4 or above or equivalent Level 2 qualification.
• Teaching Assistant Level 2 qualification (or equivalent).
• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant in a school setting.
• Understanding of safeguarding, child protection and SEND practice.
• Good IT skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organisational skills and ability to work in a team.
• Commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing and achievement.

Responsibilities

• Support high-quality teaching and learning for individuals and small groups.
• Adapt learning materials to meet diverse learner needs.
• Assist teachers in monitoring and recording pupil progress.
• Support pupils with SEND, including EHCPs involvement.
• Promote social, emotional and personal development.
• Encourage independence and positive behaviour.
• Prepare and organise classroom resources and environments.
• Supervise pupils during lessons, breaks and visits, and assist with activities.
