Job summary

Oasis Academy Parkwood is seeking a dedicated Teaching Assistant to support teaching staff and contribute to the educational provision of learners. You will help plan, prepare and deliver lessons, create resources and support pupils both in class and individually.

The role involves pastoral support, contributing to progress evaluations and providing feedback to the class teacher to ensure each student’s needs are met.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 GCSEs at C grade or above including English and Maths.
• Experience supervising classes and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive outcomes.
• Good written and verbal communication skills with ability to work with teaching staff.
• Empathetic and understanding to students' needs.

Oasis Academy Parkwood currently have an exciting opportunity for a dedicated practitioner to join the team as a Teaching Assistant, supporting teaching staff with responsibility for the development and educational provision of learners.

Job overview

You’ll be responsible for assisting with planning, preparation and delivery of lesson provision, both on a whole-class and individual basis, preparing resources to support learning activities as well as ensuring pupils are supported pastorally. You’ll contribute to evaluating student progress and provide feedback to the class teacher to ensure all students’ learning needs are being met.

Job requirements

• A minimum of 3 GCSEs at C grade or above, including English and Maths
• Teaching Assistant qualification desirable
• Experience of class supervision and assisting with lesson provision to achieve positive learning outcomes
• Good written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work in tandem with teaching staff
• Ability to be empathetic and understanding to the needs of students
