Job summary

Haymoor Junior School in Poole (TEACH Poole Multi-Academy Trust) is hiring a permanent HLTA to support a small KS2 group aged 7 to 11 in the Inclusion Base. The post is part-time after-school hours, 11.25 per week, term-time, with January 2027 start date.

You will work with the class teacher to lead learning through a highly personalised, trauma-informed approach, building routines that foster emotional safety and student engagement in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• HLTA status or equivalent qualification.
• Experience teaching in primary phase.
• Ability to plan highly differentiated learning.
• Experience delivering trauma-informed approaches.

Responsibilities

• Support the class teacher in leading learning for a small group of Key Stage 2 pupils.
• Deliver a trauma-informed approach to each pupil.
• Create routines that promote emotional safety and consistency.
• Plan and deliver highly differentiated learning to keep pupils engaged.
• Manage behaviour using relational, trauma-informed and inclusive approaches.
• Share planning and practice with the team.
