Job summary

The Queen’s School is seeking a self-employed peripatetic drum teacher to deliver engaging weekly lessons during term time. You will nurture pupils from primary through Key Stage 3, helping them to build technical ability, musical understanding and confidence in performance.

The role requires a strong drumming background, a music degree, and the ability to prepare students for GCSE/A Level recitals and exams.

Qualifications

• Must have a music degree (specialist performance degree desirable).
• Experience teaching pupils from primary to Key Stage 3 and preparing GCSE/A Level recitals.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging weekly half-hour lessons (individual or paired) during term time.
• Monitor pupil progress and maintain accurate attendance records.
• Support examination entries in liaison with Head of Music.
• Provide one annual report and attend a parents’ evening.
• Promote ensembles, concerts, and instrumental study within the school.
