Job summary

The Portsmouth Academy seeks to appoint a Peripatetic Music Teacher - Drums to join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians.

The successful candidate will play an integral role in supporting our students to learn and advance their music skills at all levels across KS3 and 4. You will work closely with the Music Department to support students with a range of abilities bringing creativity and enthusiasm to your teaching.

Qualifications

• Degree-level education in Music or related subject.
• High level of skill and experience teaching Drums across KS3 & KS4.
• Experience delivering 1-1 musical tuition.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Support the work of the department and the extra-curricular programme.
• Contribute to the values, ethos and development of our schools.

Responsibilities

• Teach drums to students across Key Stages 3 and 4.
• Support the Music Department in delivering a varied programme of music education.
• Contribute to enrichment and wider extracurricular activities.
• Participate in performances and contribute to the academy's musical life.
