Job summary

The Portsmouth Academy is seeking a Peripatetic Music Teacher for Drums to join our team and inspire the next generation of musicians. You will work with students across KS3 and KS4, supporting their music skills and collaborating with the Music Department to nurture a love of music.

In addition to teaching, you will contribute to wider musical life through performances and enrichment opportunities, helping to shape the academy’s cultural programme and ethos.

Qualifications

• Educated to degree level in Music or related subject
• High level of skill and experience in teaching Drums across Key Stages 3 & 4
• Experience of delivering 1-1 musical tuition
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
• Support the work of the department and the extra-curricular programme
• Contribute to the values, ethos and the development of our schools

Responsibilities

• Teach Drums across KS3 & KS4
