Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking a Cover Supervisor for a secondary school in the NG19 Mansfield area to start from September/October 2026. The role is full-time, term-time only, with hours 8:30am-3:30pm, Mon-Fri. You will deliver pre-set lessons, manage pupil behaviour, and support academic focus across KS3/KS4.

Ideal candidates have experience with secondary pupils, good communication, GCSEs in English/Maths or equivalent, and an enhanced DBS. Right to work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Good communication and classroom management skills.
• A calm and reliable approach.
• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS on the update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lesson work to classes across KS3 and KS4
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with the school's policies
• Support pupils to stay focused and complete assigned tasks
• Record attendance and report any issues to teaching staff
• Provide feedback following lessons where required
• Maintain a calm and professional classroom environment
