Job summary

Teaching Personnel is seeking Cover Supervisors in the NG8 area of Nottingham to support two secondary schools from September through the academic year. You will supervise classes during short-term absences and deliver pre-set work across KS3 and KS4, maintaining high standards of behaviour and pupil engagement.

This full-time, term-time-only role offers competitive daily pay and opportunities to gain broader classroom experience while working with experienced school staff.

Qualifications

• Experience working with secondary-aged pupils.
• Strong communication and classroom management.
• Calm, reliable approach.
• GCSEs in English and Maths or equivalent.
• Enhanced DBS on update service, or willingness to obtain one.
• Right to work in the UK.

Responsibilities

• Deliver pre-set lesson work to classes across KS3 and KS4.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support pupils to stay focused and complete assigned tasks.
• Record attendance and report issues to teaching staff.
• Provide feedback following lessons where required.
• Maintain a calm and professional classroom environment.
