Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Shenstone School in Belvedere. This term-time only role runs Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week, 39 weeks per year, at £15.00 per hour. You will lead the site, manage food production to high standards, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance within the school environment.

The role emphasizes managing day-to-day operations, budgeting, client liaison, and driving service excellence while supporting and training staff.

Qualifications

• Term-time only role with no weekends.
• Ability to lead and supervise a school kitchen team.
• Ensure compliance with Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain high standards of food quality and presentation.
• Manage inventories and budgets and act on KPI targets.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations and procedures.
• Enhance the company's reputation for food and service with the client and customers.
• Be responsible for day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams including inventories, budgets, and action plans.
• Be the main point of contact for the client in your school and implement regular adjustments.
• Communicate with your line manager to monitor KPIs and financial targets.
• Support and train teams, ensuring training is completed and performance is managed.
