Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager to join our team in Thatcham and Newbury. The role is term-time only with no weekends and 25 hours per week. You will prepare, cook and present nutritionally balanced meals to a high standard in school settings.

As the main on-site contact, you will ensure compliance with health, safety and food safety regulations, manage budgets, supervise staff, and liaise with the client to exceed expectations. DBS enhanced disclosure is required.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering/food service management.
• Ability to supervise and train site teams.
• Knowledge of Health & Safety, Food Safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety and Food Safety compliance at the location.
• Manage day-to-day running of the site and supervise teams.
• Manage inventories, budgets and action plans.
• Be the main client contact in your school and drive improvements.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with regional managers.
• Lead training and performance management for staff.
