Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager for Sun Hill School, Arlesford. This term-time only role runs Monday to Friday with 27.5 hours per week and no weekend work, offering flexibility.

The successful candidate will manage food preparation to required standards, ensure Health & Safety compliance and uphold the company’s reputation for quality meals. You will lead day-to-day site operations, supervise staff, manage inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact at the school.

Responsibilities

• To prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards
• Ensure location meets Health and Safety, Food Safety and environmental legislations
• Maintain company's reputation for excellent food and service with the client and customers
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location and supervising teams, inventories, budgets, and action plans
• Be the main point of contact for the client in the school and implement improvements
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets with line manager to ensure goals are met
• Support and train teams, lead from the front to ensure training is completed and performance managed
