Job summary

Caterlink is hiring a Chef Manager at South Ascot primary school, Ascot, to deliver nutritionally balanced and tasty meals. This term-time only role runs Monday to Friday, 25 hours per week across 38 weeks annually, with a salary of £13.52 per hour.

You will manage food preparation, ensure health and safety compliance, supervise staff, monitor inventories and budgets, and act as the main client contact at the school to drive service excellence.

Qualifications

• Catering NVQ level 2 or equivalent desired but not essential.
• Experience in school catering or volume meal service is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink and client standards.
• Ensure location complies with Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental regulations.
• Maintain Caterlink's reputation for quality and service with the client and customers.
• Oversee day-to-day running of the location; manage inventories and budgets; implement action plans.
• Act as main client contact at the school; communicate KPI progress and targets to line manager.
