Job summary

Caterlink is seeking a Chef Manager for Stratton Upper, Biggleswade. This role is term-time only with no weekends, offering flexibility and continuity through 38 school weeks per year.

You will lead kitchen operations, prepare and present nutritionally balanced meals, ensure Health and Safety, Food Safety, and environmental compliance, and manage inventories, budgets, and staff training. You’ll be the main client contact in the school, driving improvements and achieving KPIs, with safeguarding

Qualifications

• Experience leading a kitchen team in a school/catering setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and allergen controls.
• Ability to manage budgets, orders and staff rotas.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, cook and present food to Caterlink standards.
• Ensure Health & Safety, Food Safety and environmental compliance.
• Manage day-to-day running, inventories and budgets.
• Be the main school contact, implementing improvements and reporting to the client.
• Monitor KPIs and financial targets to achieve goals.
