Job summary

The Kynge's College of Our Ladye of Eton Besyde Windesore seeks a dedicated Chef (Maternity Cover) to plan, prepare and present meals for a residential community of teenage boys. You will work with the Central Catering team to ensure high-quality, nutritionally-balanced menus.

The role is term-time only and maternity cover, offering 40-hour weeks, holiday entitlement during school breaks, and opportunities to contribute to well-being and nutrition within a historic private residence.

Qualifications

• Experience in private households or high-volume catering is essential.
• Strong knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen management.
• Formal cookery qualification and ongoing safeguarding awareness are required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals with nutritional balance.
• Meet dietary needs and allergens for residents.
• Maintain high hygiene standards and safety documentation.
• Order food and manage stock to minimise waste.
• Provide hospitality for visitors and VIP guests.
• Support training and safeguarding requirements.
