Job summary

The Kynge's College of Our Ladye of Eton Besyde Windesore seeks an experienced Chef for a private residence setting. You will plan, prepare, and present meals for residents, visitors, and VIP guests, aligning with high standards of nutrition, safety and dietary compliance.

Based in a historic private residence with a modern kitchen, you will work within a Central Catering team, following a structured school-term calendar and enjoying school holidays off.

Qualifications

• Experience in private households or high-volume catering is desirable.
• Knowledge of allergen protocols and food labelling legislation.
• Level 2/3 Food Hygiene Certificate and HACCP training required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare daily meals, snacks, and special events with creativity and nutritional balance.
• Ensure meals meet dietary needs of residents including allergies.
• Maintain high standards of food hygiene and safety in line with legislation.
• Manage food ordering and stock to minimise waste and maximise fresh ingredients.
• Keep kitchen clean and complete required food safety documentation.
• Collaborate with the house team to support food-related activities and nutritional awareness.
• Provide hospitality for visitors, parents and VIP guests as required.
• Attend training and stay up to date with safeguarding and hospitality qualifications.
• Provide breakfast, lunch and supper; cover for other chefs as needed.
• Undertake other duties as reasonably required; comply with safeguarding procedures.
