Job summary

Franklin Sixth Form College is hiring a part-time Catering Assistant to join our busy Catering Team. The role covers 10 hours per week during term time, mainly lunch coverage, with occasional evenings as needed.

The successful candidate will support all aspects of the catering service, including food prep, serving, setting up dining areas, and maintaining hygiene standards. Level 2 Food Safety is required or willing to undertake it.

Qualifications

• Experience in catering, preferably in an educational setting.
• Organised and dependable; able to work well as part of a team.
• Level 2 Food Safety qualification or willing to undertake it.

Responsibilities

• Support catering service including food preparation and serving.
• Set up and clear dining areas; wash up.
• Maintain cleanliness and food hygiene; stock control; assist with cash handling.
