Job summary

Thomas Franks Ltd. is seeking a Catering Assistant for term-time duties at our Horsham location. The role is part-time (32.5 hours per week) across 40 weeks, supporting breakfast, lunch and supper services for 430 students and staff.

The ideal candidate will have catering experience, strong customer service skills and a flexible, reliable approach. Benefits include free parking on site and a supportive team environment at a leading independent contract caterer.

Qualifications

• Experience in a catering environment.
• Experience serving customers in a catering establishment.
• Good English skills (verbal); written English preferred.

Responsibilities

• Serve clients during breakfast, lunch or dinner service.
• Help setting up the dining room for service.
• Prepare food for service following hygiene and safety standards.
• Ensure the kitchen is left clean and tidy to the required standard.
• Clear, clean and store away any food, beverage or equipment for functions.
• Restock and replenish stocks during service to ensure good service.
• Operate cleaning and dishwashing equipment and maintain storage areas.
• Complete cleaning/hygiene duties as required.
• Interact with customers and client staff.
