Job summary

Franklin Sixth Form College in Grimsby is seeking a friendly Kitchen Assistant to join the Catering Team. This hands-on role covers food preparation, basic cooking, serving, washing up and keeping the kitchen clean and organized for students and staff.

• Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment would be an advantage.
• Food Hygiene training will be provided where required.

Kitchen Assistant

20 hours per week, term time only

We are currently looking for a friendly, reliable and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our Catering Team.

This is a hands-on role supporting the smooth running of our busy College kitchen. You will help with food preparation, basic cooking, serving, washing up and keeping our kitchen and catering areas clean, safe and well organised. You will work alongside our catering team to provide a welcoming and high-quality service for both our students and staff.

We are looking for someone with a positive attitude, good attention to detail and a willingness to learn. Previous experience in a kitchen, catering or hospitality environment would be an advantage, but the right attitude and a willingness to learn are just as important. Food Hygiene training will be provided where required.

The salary for this role is in line with the Sixth Form Colleges Support Staff Pay Spine Point 3, currently £24,759 Full Time Equivalent. As the role is part time, and term time only, the actual salary calculation is £11,104 per annum.
