Job summary

Subsea7 in London is looking for a Tendering Specialist to join the Pipeline Group on a full-time, permanent basis. The role involves coordinating inputs from internal support functions to develop the Pipeline Group tender proposal and supporting the Tender Lead through all phases.

You will ensure timely submission, manage clarifications, and oversee handover to the Project Team for awarded bids or archiving for unsuccessful ones, while maintaining close collaboration with regional tendering

• Maintain tender data records to support management analysis and benchmarking.
• Handover awarded project estimates to PG Cost Controllers.

Job description

Subsea7 are looking for a Tendering Specialist to join our Pipeline Group (PG) based in either our London, Paris, Glasgow or Aberdeen offices on a full-time, permanent basis. There will also be occasional short assignments requiring travel globally so candidates should be able and willing to meet this requirement.

PG is a specialist internal service provider, responsible for developing and delivering fit-for-purpose rigid pipeline installation methods and associated analysis, supporting both projects and tenders. The team places a clear emphasis on ensuring safe, efficient, and cost-effective offshore installation operations.

The Tendering Specialist will report directly to the PG Tendering Manager and will be responsible for the effective coordination and consolidation of all inputs from internal support functions to develop the Pipeline Group tender proposal.

The role will support the Tender Lead/Proposal Manager throughout all phases of the tender process, from initial preparation through to the consolidation and submission of the final proposal. Following submission, the role will coordinate the handover to the Project Team for successful awards or manage the close-out and archiving process for unsuccessful bids.

What will you be doing?

This will be a highly varied role but some of the main responsibilities include:

• Develop the tender estimate for the purpose of having a complete, accurate and optimized cost estimate, ensuring all inputs are approved and delivered in line with the BMS and tender schedule.
• Develop and distribute the ITT review matrix ensuring all clarifications are consolidated for return to client. Ensure that all subsequent tender bulletins, and clarification responses are received, distributed and reviewed including post submission clarifications.
• Develop the PG deliverables matrix and support with ensuring all deliverables are approved and delivered as necessary.
• Establish and maintain an effective and collaborative interface with internal and external stakeholders including regional tendering teams, PG tendering team and PG Management team.
• Drafting of internal tender authorisation papers, presentations and documents which may include presenting or supporting presentations to PG Management.
• Control the efficient performance of the tender through; strict adherence to the tender schedule, action tracking and close out and facilitation of gate review meetings.
• Support the Tender Lead to perform preliminary screening of risk and qualifications register and consolidate with input from the technical departments.
• Contribute to the maintenance of all tendered data records, to support the management analysis/forecasting and tender benchmarking.
• Manage the handover of any awarded project estimates to the PG Cost Controllers.

What experience would we like you to have?

• Relevant previous experience in a tendering, bids, proposals, or commercially focused role. Candidates with experience in a relevant technical/engineering field may also be considered.
